They also have a <a href="http://thetwilightawards.blogspot.com/2010/02/pulled-fics.html">list</a> of fics that have been pulled because of the LU or other reasons. The Union leaves nasty reviews on people's stories and put it on their 'shit' list. So, be careful out there writers. Don't let the low-lifes take you down.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/u/2264722/Who_the_Bleep_are_the_LU">Who the Bleep are the LU</a> is an FFn account that has great points on why what the LU is doing is wrong. I feel bad everyday when I don't post, but I can't this week so I guess I need to suck it up. This post will be quick because I'm busy, remember?<br />
<br />
I like lemons and everything, so you as readers should too. Be happy that I like to give you some.<br />

Did you eat as much chocolate as you could handle? I did to the extreme... It was also President's Day yesterday here in the United States, so yes, there will be fics rec'd on that. But first the V-day... (Some are cheesy, but whatever!)<br />

But, surely Alice's brothers, Edward and Emmett, don't count, right?</span></span><br />

I'll probably do a late one tomorrow. </span><br />
<br />
I say 'Team Switzerland' because that was the first thing I thought of when a <a href="http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010/02/14/2818971.htm?site=sport&section=all">Swiss ski jumper won the gold medal at the Olympics</a> . How sad is that? That fans can see something and relate it to Twilight. I mean everything. If I look in front of me, I see a laundry basket. This reminds me of when Bella's clothes are stolen from her in Eclipse. You see what I mean?<br />
<br />
^This has nothing to do with the post, I just wanted to put some Olympics into it. :]<br />
<br />
Today's post is a fluff. Fluff is just all cutesy stuff and I, personally, love it.<br />
<br />
This fluff made me crack up when I read it, so I had to post it:<br />

One of my favorite fanfiction genres. Actually, it is my absolute favorite. The reason why: these stories focus on the characters we first fell in love with. </span></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">If you are out of bounce with this term here is the definition, exclusively from </span></span><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fan_fiction_terms#Canon"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Wikipedia</span></span></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> (because we all love it!):</span></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;"><br />
</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 19px;"><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Canon</span></span></i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> refers to the "official" source material upon which fan fiction can be based. In recent years, some fandoms have engaged in lengthy debate over what is or is not "canon", usually due to multiple writers in various media creating contradictory source material... It is important to note that something that is regarded as "canon" is regarded as being essentially a verifiable fact in the given fandom. Details as complex as the laws of physics in a given story universe or as minute as how a character's name is meant to be spelled can be referred to as "canon" details, so long as they are specifically shown or otherwise directly revealed in the source material; this includes character behavior as well, though debate over what can or cannot be considered "canon behavior" is often a point of contention in fandom... In short, "canon" in the context of fanfiction is both the accepted "official" material itself, and a concept or detail promoted by the original work and/or in accepted "official" material.</span></span></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 19px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
</span></span></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 19px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">l'm not so sure that I accept canon as 'official material, though, but the stuff written is fantastic (most of it). Some examples of the work:</span></span></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #551a8b; font-family: 'Lucida Grande'; font-size: 12px; text-decoration: underline; white-space: pre;"><a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3730017/1/Triangles_With_Linear_Qualities">Triangles With Linear Qualities<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: black; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 16px; white-space: normal;">- </span></a></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #551a8b; font-family: 'Lucida Grande'; font-size: 12px; white-space: pre;"> <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: black; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 16px; white-space: normal;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px;">Jacob doesn't even like geometry.</span></span></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px;"><br />
</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px;">I liked this one, since it is in third person and that it is set place in New Moon (my favorite book). Bella and Jake are taking a break from being 'irresponsible' and doing homework. Jacob uses the triangles he is studying for math as a metaphor for his relationship with Bella. </span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px;"><br />
</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande'; font-size: 12px; white-space: pre;"><a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3439842/1/Numb">Numb-</a> </span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px;">We know Bella tore her stereo out of her truck...this is her story of that day.</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px;"><br />
</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px;">This one-shot killed me. Seriously, I was so upset when I read it. Music is a connection that Edward and Bella have and when he leaves during New Moon, all that is gone. Every reminder of him, taken away, broken, like the stereo.</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px;"><br />
</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px;"><a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5418557/1/Whole">Whole-</a> </span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px;">After centuries of waiting, the Cullen family is finally complete. Rosalie observes as the last piece of their puzzle finally slots into place.</span><br />
<br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px;">This was so canon. It showed Rosalie's reaction to Renesmee perfectly. While Rose thinks that Nessie is hers, she needs to face the truth. She isn't her daughter and Rose will have to accept that. </span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px;"><br />
</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px;">If you'd like to read more like this, there is an awesome C2 Community called </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 12px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande'; white-space: pre;"><a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/community/All-Canon_Twilight/71137/3/0/1/">All Canon Twilight</a> </span></span>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1097229729022594060.post-552681758410325562010-02-08T15:02:00.001-05:002010-02-08T15:04:51.579-05:00I'm Sure You Did This Too.So, how about that Super Bowl (Can I say that or is it copyright infringement?)? I watch it specifically for the commercials and read during the actual game.<br />
I bet you watched it, non like I did.<br />
........<br />
Exactly. You only were in it for the advertisements, too.<br />
The only thing 97% of Americans like about it is the commercials. This does not relate to Twilight whatsoever, I just needed to say. I mean, it could. I could say 97% of the readers read it because of Edward. And this is true.<br />
<br />
I'm especially excited to hear from <a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1932429/">WhyFightAnEclipseWhenTheresJaz</a> who sent me a PM about her one-shot. This post today is to do away with that negativity to, hopefully, make it positive. So here is my story about how I discovered Twilight and the Fandom behind it...</div><div><br />
</div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: line-through; text-decoration: line-through;">It was a dark afternoon.</span> Ok, I'm not getting that angsty, but how I found out about Twilight was pretty simple. A friend down the street (Holla Telly!) was reading this book about <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">vampires</span>. I reacted like any Harry Potter fan would have, 'Really, vampires? I understand boy wizards, but...' So I went on and on about how ridiculous the idea of reading that then God-awful book. Telly stopped my rambling, 'No, you haven't read this. You have to.' I took the book from her hands and agreed. Moving back up to my house in my then-in-style-ultra-flare-jeans (it was 2006 and the 90s was back) I opened the door, plopped onto my couch and read. </div><div>Four damn hours, one sitting, a headache from reading, and I was in love. I immediately got onto my laptop, searched for something Twilight related and got... nothing. It was drought online! New Moon wasn't in my vocab until later that year (I did the HP thing during the gap). I read <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">that</span> book, hating Edward and wanting to do naughty things to Jake.</div><div>Online again I went, and guess what? Fansites. A plethora of them, might I add. I overloaded on blogs, commenting like a mad woman. Each reply I got back was actually nice, non like the HP sites. </div><div>Then the news of the movie deal spread. I spazzed out even more, deciding to make a blog (that turned out horrible, by the way). More into the Fandom I went, then finding this one site. Fanfiction.net. This was like the best thing I had ever seen. I opened up a new story and dived right in...</div><div><br />
</div><div>So that was my Twilight story, but why am I immersed into this Fandom? Well, it is welcoming. That's the main reason. I have never known any other fanbase that has welcomed anyone with open arms. And they, you, did it to me. Four years running I have been caught up in it, and for four more years I'll stay. </div><div><br />
</div><div><br />
</div><div>You can't have a post without the recs:</div><div><a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5081258/1/The_Screamers">The Screamers</a></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px;">Living on the streets is hard for Bella Swan, but not as hard as putting up with Edward Cullen when he drags her into his lifestyle of sex, drugs and Rock and Roll. Will they be able to help each other before they kill each other?</span></div><div><br />
</div><div>I found this ages ago (when it had about 100 reviews), but I never got around to reading it. I just found it on my bookmarks, so I hope that you can bookmark it, too. </div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1097229729022594060.post-16166316569080149162010-01-29T16:29:00.006-05:002010-02-04T16:43:51.822-05:00Author Interview<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #0000ee;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: black; font-family: 'Lucida Grande'; font-size: 11px;"></span></span>Have you ever wanted to venture off and read another pairing. Another one like JasperxBella? Or AlicexBella<br />
One of my <a href="http://cullen818.blogspot.com/">affiliates</a> and one of my favorite authors agreed to do a little Q&A session with me. Check it out-<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1794376/Enjorous">Enjorous</a>, Author of <a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5265599/1/The_Sirens_Song">The Siren's Song</a>:<br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 1px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 1px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">Why are you interested in Alice?</span></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 1px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 1px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px;"><br />
</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 1px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 1px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px;">I'm interested in Alice because she always genuinely cared for Bella. That generally means that she never tried to enforce her will upon Bella. She's always seemed more compassionate to me compared to Edward (aka Sparkles.) In my opinion Sparkles gives the few men who still practice chivalry, of which I am one, a bad name, but I digress. What really intrigues me about her character in general is that Alice has no past prior to being a vampire. That means for the nineteen years she was a human nothing of her past exists to her. Having a tombstone and or a birth certificate would mean absolutely nothing to her because she's essentially an amnesiac. I've written a one shot to that effect titled "<a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5688222/1/Whats_in_a_Past">What's in a Past</a>."</span><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 1px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 1px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px;">Since I've only seen the first movie, for a film class not by choice, I'd have to say book Alice.</span><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 1px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 1px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px;">Hmm...I dunno, believe it or not I'm not your typical shallow guy. And The Siren's Song is still not done. And in the middle of that I'll probably write more chapters of "<a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5688222/1/Whats_in_a_Past">What's in a Past</a>" exploring Alice a bit further.</span></span></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 1px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 1px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 1px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 1px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px; font-style: italic;"><br />
</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 1px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 1px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px;">I find Alice much harder to write about, because I constantly and consciously have to fight against slipping into Alice's stereotypical persona. The always bright, always perky, shopaholic optimistic pixie that is so prominently displayed all over http://www.fanfiction.net. Because there is so much potential depth to her character. Because I once asked myself this question and it changed everything for me. "How does one stay happy and optimistic /all/ the time?"</span><br />
<br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 1px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 1px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">The hardest part of your story that you've written?</span></span><br />

</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 1px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 1px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px;">Bar none the hardest thing about writing about women is that I'm a guy. I know it's the but of oh so many jokes but as a guy I've accepted and resigned myself to the fact that I do not now, nor will I ever understand the mind of the woman, and not a day goes by that when I'm writing I have a slew of questions for my best female friend on the subject. Though she denies it, I think it bugs her from time to time.</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 1px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 1px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px;"><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 1px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 1px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px;"><br />
</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 1px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 1px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">"Why are you writing Twilight fanfiction" Well, I'm glad you asked ;) I'm write it because I felt unsatisfied with everything I read. The ideas and the characters were well crafted, but in my opinion, an opinion which I think is shared by a lot of people on the fringe of the fandom, the execution fell flat. These BEAUTIFUL characters were given a handful of pages each to leave more room for the predictable and boring love story of the protagonists. So I write to give those fringe characters a chance to truly live.</span></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 1px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 1px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px; font-style: italic;"><br />

</div></div><div>Book Jasper because his character is intriguing to me. There is so much to explore with his past and his gift. I think that's why he works so well as a central character in the FF world.</div><div class="im"><div><br />
<strong><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">Physically, what's your favorite part of him? ;]</span></span></strong></div><div><br />

<strong><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">Favorite pairing other than what you write?</span></span></strong></div><div><br />
</div></div><div>Edward/Bella (usually Edward has to be dark and dominant)</div><div><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">Any new projects coming up?</span><br />
<br />
</div><div><div>I'm actually collaborating on a new Fan Fiction based website called <a href="http://fanfictionfrenzy.com/" target="_blank"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: white;">fanfictionfrenzy.com</span></a>. It's a major work in progress, but we're getting there. I have a new story posted there that is currently two chapters in. It's called <a href="http://www.fanfictionfrenzy.com/innocence-lost.html">Innocence Lost</a> and starts out as an E/B tale (new territory for me), but will turn into a J/B fic. Right now I'm having fun writing all about Darkward.</div><div class="im"><div><br />
</div><div><strong><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">With you writing about JxB, which one of those characters are the hardest writing about?</span></span></strong></div><div><br />
</div></div><div>Jasper is really complex because he carries so much baggage with him. When writing him you also have to be super aware of his gift because he feels everything, so you always have to keep that in mind when writing a reaction from another character. I enjoy writing from the male POV, and after four stories I've gotten extremely familiar with Mr. Whitlock.</div><div class="im"><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;"><br />
</span></div><div><strong><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">The hardest part of your stories you've written?</span></span></strong></div><div><br />
</div></div><div>The hardest part for me occurred in<a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5083900/1/Love_Will_Keep_Us_There"> Love Will Keep Us There</a>. I had to write Edward in a negative light for plot purposes, and I made him do something that wasn't very popular. I took a beating for it, and almost pulled the story, but I didn't. Actually, Love ended up becoming the most popular story in the Fate/Love/Hope trilogy. I always thank the readers for sticking with me on that one. </div><div><br />
</div><div><br />
</div><div>I'm really glad I got to know more about the minds of these authors. Be sure to check out these stories and sites to support their work in the Fandom. </div></div></span>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1097229729022594060.post-82238362206231068472010-01-28T17:45:00.000-05:002010-01-28T17:45:54.336-05:00Tomorrow's PlansI said that there is going to be a surprise tomorrow. I'm pretty psyched about this post, to be honest. But what's it about? These authors write about two non-canon couples, JasperxBella and AlicexBella. Have you ever wondered why they write about them? Me too, so read it on Friday.<br />

I knew the way my body reacted to even his smallest actions was ridiculous, but I couldn’t help feeling thrilled by it.
